Spencer Ratanavanh (b. 1996 in Bangkok, Thailand) is a New York-based artist working at the intersection of performance, installation, sculpture, and film. Amplifying and augmenting bodily processes through light and sound, he experiments with physiological phenomena and perception to create new modes of seeing and being.
His video work has been selected to be screened in the CIRCA and Dazed Magazine Class of 2022 filmmakers and the London Short Film Festival. He has performed and exhibited at NYCxDESIGN, H0L0, and the Jerry H. Labowitz Theatre for the Performing Arts. He is the recipient of the NYU Dean's Award for Summer Research and the Gallatin Artistic Activism Award for Undergraduates.
He is currently attending a Masters degree at the NYU Interactive Telecommunications Program for which he has been awarded a Merit Scholarship.
