Chance Chair
2019
What possibilities lie at the intersection of art and
architectural strategies?
A chair designed by chance, dictated by the roll of a die which I found on my father’s desk in my childhood home. Made with materials and equipment I found in my surroundings.
Various kinds of die and graph paper. Preliminary sketches in the background.
Wood from a demolished structure in a nearby lot.
Backyard wood tools. (And a scary table saw, but it made do!)
Skills: Rhino3D, Illustrator, woodwork
